B1965–POWER LIFTGATE SENSOR SUPPLY CIRCUIT LOW

When Monitored:
Whenever the Power Liftgate Module is awake.
Set Condition:
The Power Liftgate Module has detected the sensor supply circuit voltage is under 4.0 volts.

Possible Causes

(Q203) POSITION SENSOR SUPPLY CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND

POWER LIFTGATE DRIVE UNIT

POWER LIFTGATE MODULE

1.DTC PRESENT

Does the scan tool display B1965–POWER LIFTGATE SENSOR SUPPLY CIRCUIT LOW?

Yes

Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors for an intermittent condition.
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. (Refer to 8 - ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULES - STANDARD PROCEDURE).

2.POWER LIFTGATE DRIVE UNIT

Does the scan tool display B1965–POWER LIFTGATE SENSOR SUPPLY CIRCUIT LOW?

Yes

Replace the Power Liftgate Drive Unit in accordance with the service information.
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. (Refer to 8 - ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULES - STANDARD PROCEDURE).

3.(Q203) POSITION SENSOR SUPPLY CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND

Is the resistance below 10000.0 ohms?

No

Replace the Power Liftgate Module in accordance with service information.
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. (Refer to 8 - ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULES - STANDARD PROCEDURE).

Yes

Repair the (Q203) Position Sensor Supply circuit for a short to ground.
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. (Refer to 8 - ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULES - STANDARD PROCEDURE).
