B18E4–POWER LIFTGATE FRONT ZONE SWITCH CIRCUIT HIGH

For a complete wiring diagram Refer to Section 8W

• When Monitored:

  Whenever the Power Liftgate Module is awake.

• Set Condition:

  When the Power Liftgate Module senses a voltage over 4.7 volts on the (G25) Liftgate Switch Sense circuit, this code will set.

Diagnostic Test

• Go To 2

• Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors for an intermittent condition.
• Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. (Refer to 8 - ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULES - STANDARD PROCEDURE).

NOTE: Vehicles equipped with a sunroof have the Power Liftgate Switch integrated into the Sunroof Switch Assembly. The graphic shows switch connectors for vehicles with and without a sunroof.

• Go To3

• Replace the Overhead Liftgate Switch, or for vehicles with a sunroof, replace the Sunroof/Liftgate overhead switch assembly in accordance with the service information.
• Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. (Refer to 8 - ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULES - STANDARD PROCEDURE).

• Go To4

• Repair the (G25) Liftgate Switch Sense circuit for a short to voltage.
• Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. (Refer to 8 - ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULES - STANDARD PROCEDURE).

• Repair the (G25) Liftgate Switch Sense circuit for an open.
• Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. (Refer to 8 - ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULES - STANDARD PROCEDURE).

• Replace the Power Liftgate Module in accordance with the service information.
• Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. (Refer to 8 - ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULES - STANDARD PROCEDURE).
