B1888–POWER LIFTGATE PINCH SENSOR 1 CIRCUIT LOW

- When Monitored:
Whenever the Power Liftgate Module is awake.
- Set Condition:
The Power Liftgate Module has detected the Left Liftgate Pinch Sensor circuit voltage is under 0.5 volts for over 20 seconds.

Diagnostic Test
1.DTC PRESENTDoes the scan tool display B1888–POWER LIFTGATE PINCH SENSOR 1 CIRCUIT LOW?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors for an intermittent condition.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. (Refer to 8 - ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULES - STANDARD PROCEDURE).
2. LEFT PINCH SENSOR SHORTED
Does the scan tool display B1888–POWER LIFTGATE PINCH SENSOR 1 CIRCUIT LOW?
Yes
- Go To3
No
- Replace the Left Liftgate Pinch Sensor in accordance with the service information.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. (Refer to 8 - ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULES - STANDARD PROCEDURE).
3.CHECK THE (Q75) LEFT PINCH SENSOR SIGNAL FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
Is the resistance below 10000.0 ohms?
No
- Replace the Power Liftgate Module in accordance with the service information.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. (Refer to 8 - ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULES - STANDARD PROCEDURE).
Yes
- Repair the (Q75) Left Pinch Sensor Signal circuit for a short to ground.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. (Refer to 8 - ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULES - STANDARD PROCEDURE).
