With the ignition on.
- Set Condition:
When the Anti-Lock Brake Module detects periodic drops of a Wheel Speed Sensor (WSS) signal.

Diagnostic Test
1.CHECK FOR A DTC C1041-LEFT FRONT TONE WHEEL PERFORMANCENOTE: This DTC must be active for the results of this test to be valid.
WARNING: To avoid personal injury or death, check brake capability is available before road testing.
NOTE: Vehicle must be driven above 40 km/h (25 mph) for set conditions to be met.
Does the scan tool display: C1041-LEFT FRONT TONE WHEEL PERFORMANCE active?
Yes
- Replace the Left Front Tone Wheel in accordance with the Service Information.
- Perform ABS VERIFICATION TEST. (Refer to 5 - BRAKES - STANDARD PROCEDURE).
No
- Refer to the INTERMITTENT CONDITION diagnostic procedure.
- Refer to the ABS-INTERMITTENT CONDITION TEST. (Refer to 5 - BRAKES - DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING)
